Edith Nell McEachern(Plainview)

Edith Nell McEachern of Plainview died on Thursday, May 13, 2010. Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 15, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Plainview, with Dr. Travis Hart officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. She was born on May 13, 1915 in Hillsboro, Texas to Tandy Kendrick and Addie Naomi Jones McDaniel. She earned her teaching certificate from Texas Tech. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Plainview, the Home Demonstration Club of Halfway, the 4-H Club, Women’s Club of Plainview, Woman’s Forum of Plainview, Reaper’s Bible Study of Plainview, and the Dorcas Sunday School Class. She married William Truitt McEachern on June 25, 1938 in Crosbyton. He preceded her in death on July 18, 1969 Survivors include one daughter, Linda Cranmer and husband Lee of Plainview; daughter-in-law, Janet McEachern of Flagstaff, AZ; one son, Ken McEachern and wife Pat of Lubbock; 7 grandchildren, Carol and Kirk Evans, Dana and A J Pharr, Denise and Kenny Gross, Clayton McEachern, Andy and Leigh Cranmer, Emily and Brian McLarty, and Kyle Cranmer; and 10 great grandchildren, Katy & Justin, Courtney & Zachary, Shelby & Joshua, Sawyer & Savannah, and William & Sara. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her son, Dale Clayton McEachern, and 11 brothers and sisters.
