Frances Blackwell Walls (Plainview)

Frances Blackwell Walls, 75, died Saturday, May 15, 2010. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Travis Franklin, of Salado United Methodist Church in Salado, Texas, officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Walls was born on November 12, 1934 in Spur, Texas to William Wilber and Una Culbert Johnson. She was the youngest of 12 children. She married Dr. James Odell Blackwell in 1952. He preceded her death in 1968. She married Verlon Dean Walls in 1977. He preceded her in death in 2000. Mrs. Walls worked as a dental assistant and a hair dresser and was a successful business owner. She is survived by three daughters: Pam Boedeker & husband Merlin of Bedford, Piata Wheeler & husband Richard of Bedford and Tammie Rogers & husband Mark of Wister, OK; one son: Kim “Doc” Blackwell & wife Dena of Keller; two sisters: Opal Conn of Drain, Oregon and Ruby Nichols of Plainview; 9 grandchildren and 13 grandchildren. She is also survived by Larry Dean Walls, Eileen Walls and Roy Walls. She was preceded in death by 9 siblings. The family suggests memorials to the Cal Farley’s Boys Ranch P.O.
