Justin Kurt Williams, 22, of Lorenzo (formerly of Kress) died on Thursday, May 27, 2010, in San Angelo, Texas. Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at First Baptist Church in Plainview, with Pastor Rob Blum, of First United Methodist Church in Memphis officiating, and Pastor Mitch Wilson of First Baptist Church of Shallowater. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Visitation will be held on Monday, May 31, 2010, 6:00-8:00 P.M., at Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Justin was born on December 25, 1987 in Hale Center, Texas. He grew up in Kress and graduated from Kress High School in 2006 as the Valedictorian. He attended the University of North Texas and then University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma and was working towards a degree in Music and a minor in business. He was a professional fiddle player and a former state champion. He was also a songwriter and could play many instruments. His favorite type of music was Jazz and he loved jam sessions, movies, roping, and bungee jumping. He was a member of the Hall of Fame Swing Band and a member First Baptist Church in Kress. He is survived by his father, Gary Williams of Kress; mother and step-father, Rhonda and Darrell Weehunt of Lubbock; brother, Cory Williams of Lorenzo; step-sister, Heather Weehunt of Lubbock; fiancée, Lindsey Collins of Lubbock; and numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins, 2 Nieces and 1 Nephew He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Dee and Oneta Williams and Bill and Mosie Sharp.
