Mae Stewardson (Plainview)

Ora Mae Stewardson, 78, of Plainview passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2010, in Amarillo. Funeral Services will be at 3:00 P.M., Friday, June 25, 2010, in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Don Robertson, pastor of College Heights Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. There will be a visitation from 6-7:30 P.M. on Thursday, June 24, 2010, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Mae was born November 24, 1931 in Tulia, Texas to Hickman and Nancy Deen. She was raised in Kress and graduated from Kress High School in 1950. She worked as the office manager for Lemons Funeral Home for 40 plus years before retiring in 1993. She was a member of College Heights Baptist Church. She married Wayne Stewardson on December 20, 1954 in Kress, Texas. Survivors include husband Wayne Stewardson of Plainview; two daughters, Becky York and husband Perry of Canyon, Beverly Stewardson of Richardson; one sister, Pearlene Eubank of Waco; two grandchildren, Ashley York of San Antonio, Katie Hutto and husband Keaton of Canyon; and one great-grandson, Hagen Hutto of Canyon.
