Tulia, Texas—Shirley Milner, 65, of Panhandle, died Wednesday, June 30, 2010 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am Friday, July 2, 2010 at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia with Rev. Ernie McGaughey, retired Methodist minister officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A visitation of family and friends will be held from 5:00 to 6:00 pm Thursday, July 1, 2010 at the funeral home in Tulia. Shirley was born March 16, 1945 in Florence, Alabama to Everett and Susie Criss. She moved to Claude, TX at an early age where she grew up and attended schools. She later moved to Panhandle, TX and married Wayne Milner on October 26, 1964. She had Shirley’s Restaurant in Panhandle. Survivors include her husband: Wayne Milner of Panhandle, two daughters: Tina Stocking and husband Gary of Woodward, OK and Teresa Melynn Cross and husband Kenneth of Amarillo, one son: Glenn Milner of Amarillo, one sister: Rosie Hyde and husband Elmer of Florence, Alabama, three grandchildren: Trenton Powell of Amarillo, Trevor Cruse of Woodward, OK and Talon Cruse of Woodward, OK and several nieces and nephews.
