Tulia, Texas-Tommie Rucker, 87, died Monday, July 19, 2010 in Tulia. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the Central Church of Christ with Bruce Baird, pastor officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Tommie was born October 8, 1922 in Tulia to Henry and Kate Potter. She grew up on the family farm. She graduated from Tulia High School. She worked as a checker for Joe Bob’s Grocery Store and B&R Grocery Store until she retired at age 72. She was a member of the Central Church of Christ. She married Robert W. Rucker in December 1939 and he died in 1970. She is survived by a daughter-in-law: Joann Rucker of Tulsa, OK, seven grandchildren: Rex Rucker and his wife Carolyn of Pampa, Roy Pat Rucker of Amarillo, Jay Rucker of Oklahoma City, OK, Jason Levi Cline of Altus, OK, Keziah Hoover and husband Brad of Pampa, Jennifer Rucker of Tulsa, OK and Jessica Cline Sims of Abilene, her great grandchildren: Nicole Rucker, Marlee Richardson, Ryne Richardson and Evan Rucker, all of Pampa and Kyler Rucker of Amarillo, her great, great grandson: Josiah Rucker of Pampa, several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons: Terrell Rucker and David Rucker, three brothers: Richard Potter, Bob Potter and J.D. Potter, three sisters: Bonnie Gardner, Pat Milam and Elizabeth Jarrell, one step-granddaughter: Ray Lynn Cline, two great grandsons: Matthew Rucker and Greg Cline.
