Ricky McPherson (Tulia)

Happy, Texas— Ricky McPherson, 56, died Tuesday, October 17, 2006 in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Friday, October 20, 2006 in the First Baptist Church with Lee Wayne Carthel, officiating and Rev. Paul Burwash, pastor of First Baptist Church in Happy, assisting. Burial will follow in Happy Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Tulia. Mr. McPherson was born September 9, 1950 in Bonham, Texas. He lived in Lone Star and later moved to Happy where he attended schools and graduated from Happy High School in 1969. He married Diane Smith on July 11, 2003 in Happy. He has worked for Brown’s Power and Equipment Co. in Tulia since 1986 as a mechanic and shop foreman. Memorials may be made to the Happy Volunteer Fire Department. Survivors include his wife; Diane McPherson of Happy, two daughters; Michelle Whitsett of Burkburnett and Erica Reyes and husband Jesse of Happy. One brother; Milton McPherson and his wife Nora of Amarillo, five sisters and their spouses; Terri and Larry Trimble of Plainview, Donna and Sparky Stewart of Gruver, Connie McKelva of Amarillo, Mary and Chris Hodges of Vega and Becky and Brandon Crosby of Plainview, four grandchildren; Tyler Whitsett of Tulia, Cameron Reyes of Happy, Dylan Reyes of Happy and Emilie Reyes of Happy, and 11 nieces and nephews.
