Martha Dannevik, 79, of Lubbock, formerly of Dimmitt, passed away on Saturday, August 14, 2010, in Lubbock. Graveside services will be at 1:30 P.M., Wednesday, August 18, 2010, at Resthaven Memorial Park followed by a Memorial service at 3:00 P.M. at the First United Methodist Church Chapel in Lubbock with Rev. Doug Chapman, associate pastor officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Dannevik was born on August 7, 1931 in Argo, Illinois to Troy and Alice Caylor. She married William P. Dannevik, Sr. on June 30, 1950 in Sherman, Texas. She worked for Texas Telephone Company for several years before being a stay at home mom. After the kids were older, she taught school for almost 10 years. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, member of the First United Methodist Church in Dimmitt and later in Lubbock. She was also a member of a Bridge Club. She is survived by her husband of sixty years, William P. Dannevik, Sr. of Lubbock; two daughters, Leisa Fullingim and husband Eddie of Petersburg, Debbie Myres of Lubbock; one son, Paul Dannevik and wife Kathy of Lubbock; one sister, Gloria Ware and husband Gene of Arlington, Texas; six grandsons, one granddaughter, and three great-granddaughters; and several nieces and nephews.
