Curtis Orien Lemons, 75, of Plainview, passed away on Monday, August 16, 2010, in Plainview. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 19, 2010, at First Baptist Church in Hale Center with Tim Harper and Oscar Chavez officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A visitation for family and friends will be from 6-8 P.M., Wednesday, August 18, 2010, at the funeral home. Mr. Lemons was born on August 10, 1935, in Whitney, South Carolina, to Homer and Louise Lemons. He grew up in Union, South Carolina. He served in the U.S. Air Force from November 1953 to November 1957. He married Marjorie Ann Kidd on February 15, 1958 in Littlefield. He retired from National Stations. He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer and Louise Lemons, two brothers, Willie and Dean Lemons and a sister, Doris Cannup. He is survived by his wife Marjorie Lemons of Plainview, two daughters, Christi Campbell of Plainview and Mitzi Tims of Plainview; two sons, Keith “PJ” Lemons and wife Jana of Claude and Steve Lemons and wife Donna of Hale Center; three brothers, Ned Lemons and wife Rachel of Packlett, South Carolina, Ray Lemons and wife Wanda of Jonesville, South Carolina and Jimmy Lemons of Union, South Carolina; two sisters, Sue Farr and husband Jerry of Jonesville, South Carolina and Easter Steele and husband Randy of Union, South Carolina; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
