Tulia, Texas— Carolyn Hale, 67, died Friday, October 27, 2006 in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Monday, October 30, 2006 in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Davenport, retired Baptist minister, officiating and Rev. James Hassell, pastor, assisting. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Carolyn was born February 9, 1939 in Tulia to Varna Eugene and Sylvia Irene George Love. She lived in Tulia all her life and graduated from Tulia High School in 1957. She married Richard Hale on August 9, 1958 in Tulia. She worked for Taylor-Evans Farm Store until 1978 when she went to work for Littlejohn-Vaughn Insurance Co. and retired from Sadler-Vaughn-Chapman Insurance Co. after 20 years. She is preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob Frank Rogers and a sister, Olive Bradley. Survivors include her husband; Richard Hale of Tulia, two daughters and sons-in-law; Rhonda and Jeff Rogers of Kress, Texas and Gena and Gene Aduddell of Garland, Texas, five grandchildren; Jenny Rogers of Dalhart, Texas, Megan, Melissa, Mason and Mackenzie Aduddell of Garland, Texas, one brother; Eugene Love and wife Stephanie of Florida, three sisters; Sue Jennings and husband Herb of Tulia, Texas, Janice Nix and husband Doug of Amarillo and Gayle Love of Amarillo; one brother-in-law, Ted Bradley of Arkansas and several nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials to the Rose Hill Cemetery, or to the Jacob Rogers Scholarship Fund @ Hale County State Bank in Tulia or @ the Kress National Bank, Kress, Texas.
