Carroll Stark(Tulia)

Tulia Texas—Carroll Stark, 77, died Wednesday, September 29, 2010 in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, October 1, 2010 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Karel Smith, pastor of First Christian Church in Tulia officiating and Rev. Tommy Ewing, Methodist minister, assisting. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2010 from 6:00 to 7:00pm at the funeral home. Carroll David Stark was born October 16, 1932 in Swisher County, Texas to Ollie and Vallie Stark. He grew up in Swisher County and graduated from Kress High School. He attended West Texas University. He married Charlene Lane on June 11, 1954 in Kress. He was a farmer and also worked for First Choice Telephone Company. He was a Mason and a member of the Lions club. He also was a 4-H Alumni. He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister: Mildred Kirk and a son: Richie Stark. He is survived by his wife: Charlene Stark of Tulia, one daughter and son-in-law: Twila and Victor Baker of Beaumont, one son and daughter-in-law: Terry and Rebecca Stark of San Antonio, three grandchildren: Shelley Swan of Macon, Georgia, Clay Baker of Beaumont and John Stark of San Antonio.
