Mary Lou Perez(Tulia)

Mary Lou Perez, 90, of Tulia, died Friday October 22, 2010 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A rosary service will be held at 6:00 PM Tuesday, October 26, 2010 at the funeral home. Mary Lou was born February 5, 1920 in Falls City, Texas to Benito and Dolores Pena. She grew up in Tulia and lived most of her life here but did live in Dumas for several years before moving back to Tulia. She married Salvador Perez on November 28, 1950 in Anson. She was a homemaker and a member of the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit and the Guadalupana’s. She is survived by her husband: Salvador, 1 daughter: Rosemary, 5 sons: Johnny, Tony, Fred, Arturo and Robert, 1 brother: Benito, 2 sisters: Margarita and Doris, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by 1 daughter: Linda, 1 son: Pete, 2 brothers: Santos and Jose Maria and 3 sisters: Alicia, Velia and Lupe.
