"Old School" Eliodoro Ruiz, Jr. (Plainview)

“Old School” Eliodoro Ruiz, Jr., 57, of Plainview, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Friday, October 29, 2010, at First United Methodist Church Chapel, with Pastor Steve Martinez officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. Ruiz was born on March 8, 1953, in Weslaco, Texas, to Gregoria Bruno and Eliodoro Jackson Ruiz, Sr. He was the oldest of eight children and was very close to all of his family. Eliodoro loved to joke and have a good time with his family. His three Chihuahuas, Chiquita, Chiquito and Coco were his pride and joy. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his son Christopher Michael Ruiz of Waco, a step-daughter, Olivia Trevino of Tulia, six brothers, Hector Ruiz, Jessie Ruiz, Zacarias Ruiz, Guadalupe Ruiz & Rene Ruiz all of Plainview, and David Ruiz of Amarillo, a sister, Marisela Davila of Hewitt, three grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
