Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 29, 2010 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Plainview. Arrangements are under the personal care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Mrs. Englehart has donated her body to the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. Kathy was born on December 26, 1932 in Columbus, Ohio to Clarence and Edna Bixler. She grew up and attended schools in Columbus. She married Gilbert Englehart on February 22, 1950 in Ohio. They moved to Texas because of Gilbert’s military service. Kathy worked as a waitress for the Spaghetti Ranch and the Snack Shack. She also worked at Just Smokes on 5th street. She is survived by her daughter, Regina Edwards of Plainview, and a sister, Myrtle Potts of Columbus, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband, 2 brothers, Clarence Bixler, Jr., Lloyd Bixler; one sister, Betty Foreman. Regina would like to express a special thank you to Angie Magallanes, Gay Thrift, Rodney White, Ronnie and Tonya Mahagan, Lucille Davis, Diane Hall, Mike Thompson and April, Oscar Chavez, Andrew Moody and her United Super Market Family, staff at Area Community Hospice and Plainview Healthcare Center including her nurses and CNA’s Carla and Starla, and Manuela and Arsenia.
