Bob McAninch, 89, of Plainview, passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2010. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, October 30, 2010, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel, with Rev. Joe P. Weldon officiating, assisted by Rev. Jim Ritter. Burial will follow in Rest Haven Cemetery in Quitaque under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Visitation will be at 9:00 A.M., Saturday at the funeral home. Mr. McAninch was born on September 14, 1921, in Kirkland, Texas, to Bertha Mae Dillon and Charlie J. McAninch. He married Elene Chandler on April 14, 1942, in Hollis, Oklahoma. She preceded him death on January 6, 2001. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Bob worked with Daffern’s Steel & Supply for 15 years and for Central Plains Real Estate for 5 years. He was a Life Member of The Masonic Lodge and a member of Seth Ward Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, four brothers and one sister. He is survived by a son, Gary McAninch & wife Yolanda of Spring, a daughter, Debbie Escamilla & husband Juan of Plainview, two sisters, Willadeen Campbell of Houston and Imogene Wells of Houston, his grandchildren, Heather Coker & husband Cameron, Trevor McAninch & wife Kandi, Scott Young & wife Linda, Amy Hatch, and Todd Young & wife Trina and ten great grandchildren.
