Tulia, Texas—Cliftene Hiett, 82, died Saturday, November 13, 2010 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 16, 2010 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Don Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Cliftene Daniel grew up in Shamrock and attended schools there. She married Will G. “Bill” Hiett on May 13, 1947 in Shamrock. She was a housewife and a seamstress. She also worked for different variety stores. They moved to Tulia in 1961. She was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. They moved to Lubbock in 2009. She is survived by her husband: Bill Hiett of Lubbock, three daughters: Marsha Morris of Lubbock, Brenda Scholl and husband Kevin of Moriarty, NM and Melinda Raymer and husband Ronnie of Lubbock, one son: Scott Hiett and wife Sabrina of Lubbock, nine grandchildren: Michael Morris of Lubbock, Denise Padilla of Colorado, Amy Diboni of New Mexico, Catherine Keaton of New Mexico, Jack Morris of Lubbock, Brian Hiett of Tulia, Jennifer Heitt of Lubbock, Kimmie Hiett of Lubbock and Keli Hiett of Lubbock, eighteen great grandchildren and four great, great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held at 1:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
