Virginia Lee Reed (Plainview)

Virginia Reed, 66, of Hart passed away on Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at Covenant Hospital in Plainview. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 30, 2006 at First Baptist Church in Hart with Rev. Anthony Sisemore, officiating and Rev. Quita Jones assisting. Burial will follow in Hart Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Virginia Phillips Reed was born on May 6, 1940 in Shamrock, Texas. She grew up in Dozier and attended schools there. She moved to Plainview in 1950. She married Bob Reed on November 2, 1958 in Plainview. They moved to Hart in 1958. She worked for the City of Hart as the city secretary for 34 years. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and taught Sunday school. Survivors include her husband, Bob Reed of Hart; two sons, Keith Reed and wife Teri of Perkins, OK, Leslie Reed and wife Ruth of Amarillo, TX; one brother, Leon Phillips of Plainview, TX; and five grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Eunice Phillips; one Brother, John Phillips; one sister, Lynette Dalton. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 6 to 7 pm at Kornerstone Funeral Directors. The family suggests memorials to the First United Methodist Church Hart, Texas
