Arlen Rushin (Plainview)

Arlen Rushin, 64, of Plainview, passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2010, in Plainview. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Roger Foote officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mr. Rushin was born on April 22, 1946, in Paducah, Texas, to William Ollie and Alice Lee Bradford Rushin. He married Ruth Allen on September 3, 1963, in Plainview. He worked as an Independent Distributor for Borden Milk Co. for 25 years. He also worked for Reliable Life Insurance Co. for 9 years and also drove a tanker truck for Douglass Oil and Garrison Oil before retiring in 2008. He was a very loving husband, father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Billie Joyce and a brother-in-law, Gail Dees. He is survived by his wife Ruth Rushin of Plainview, two sons, William Andrew Rushin of Plainview and Lyle Dwayne Rushin and wife Crystal of Plainview, three grandchildren, Ann Marie, Christian and Bryan of Plainview, one sister, Linda Stelzig of Lubbock, and two brothers, Leon Rushin of Grant, OK, and Lee Roy Rushin of Wewoka, OK.
