Edmonson, Texas—Floy Smith Armstrong, 79, died at 3:50 pm Thursday, November 30, 2006 at her residence. Memorial services will be held at 2:00pm Monday, December 4, 2006 in the Ninth & Columbia Church of Christ in Plainview with Colquitt Nash, pastor officiating. She was born May 2, 1927 in Provo, Arkansas. She grew up in Arkansas and graduated high school. She married John H. Smith in 1945. They moved to Longview, Texas in the early 1950’s where she raised her family. They moved to west Texas in 1978 living in Tulia, Plainview and Edmonson. She was a gifted seamstress. She worked for Bartlett Feedyard in Tulia as office manager for 12 years. She was a member of Ninth & Columbia Church of Christ in Plainview. Survivors include her ex-husband, John H. Smith, three daughters; Claire Wortham of Houston, Doris Barrett of Edmonson and Linda Perez of Plainview, two sisters; Francis Johnson of Milsap, TX and Gloria Morris of Ft. Worth, TX, 8 grandchildren; Kristin and Matt Rogahn, Gary and Miranda Eastwood, Misty Browning, Toni Barrett, Cody and Memoree Barrett, Alan Ash and Lisa Reed, Tom Beasley and Kim Edwards, and 9 great grandchildren; Zach Rogahn, Kristopher Rogahn, Evan Eastwood, Jax Barrett, Beau Barrett, Gracie Reed, Zach Reed, Tommy Beasley, Meagan Edwards..
