Mary Elizabeth McCleskey (Plainview)

Mary Elizabeth McCleskey, 85, passed away on Friday, December 10, 2010 in Plainview. Memorial services will be conducted at 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 13, 2010 in the First United Methodist Church Chapel with Rev. Jeff Taylor officiating. Funeral services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mary Elizabeth was born to John and Cordie Stagner on January 16, 1925 in Bovina, Texas. She spent her childhood in Bovina before moving to Clovis with her family and graduating from Clovis High School. She married Mac McCleskey on September 3, 1946 in Clovis. She was a homemaker. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Plainview. She is survived by one daughter, Sue Douglass and husband Ken of Plainview, TX; one son, Bill McCleskey of Allen, TX; a sister in law, Virginia Stagner of Clovis, N.M.; seven grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.
