Frances Hodges(Tulia)

Tulia, Texas— Frances Todd Hodges, 88, died Saturday, December 18, 2010 in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Davenport, officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Frances was born January 29, 1922 in Swisher County to Virgil and Myrtle Wrenn. She graduated from Happy High School. She married Jack Todd in 1943, she was a housewife. Mr. Todd died in Sept. 1958. She later married J. W. Hodges on July 27, 1963, he died Jan. 1994. She was a member of the First Baptist Church. She was active in the Literary Arts Book Club and the Tulia Senior Citizens. She is survived by her son: Richard Todd and wife Jeanne of Tulia, three step-sons: James G. Hodges and wife Mary of Tulia, John R. Hodges and wife Jean of San Antonio and A.C. Hodges and wife Vaughan Ann of Burleson, seven grandchildren: Jack Todd of Tulia, John Todd of Frisco, Josh Todd of Tulia, Scheid Hodges of Fredericksburg, VA, John J. Hodges of Cleburne, Emily Hodges of Farmers Branch and Lauren Parker of Dallas, eleven great grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Tulia Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 116, Tulia, Texas 79088.
