Victor Ayala Pulido (Plainview)

Victor Ayala Pulido, 76, of Plainview, passed away on Sunday, December 19, 2010, in Plainview. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, December 23, 2010, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Arsenio Redulla officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Memorial Park under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A rosary service will be held at 6:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at the funeral home. Mr. Pulido was born on April 23, 1934, in Dilly, Texas to Constancio and Guadalupe Ayala Pulido. He married Herminia Medina on October 31, 1953. He worked as a farmer and later worked for John Deere. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and also was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was very active in the church. He drove the church bus to Bible School and taught Bible Study classes. Victor loved gardening and building things in the yard. He enjoyed going to his grandkids’ activities at school. He was a very loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend. He is survived by his wife, Herminia Pulido of Plainview, his children, Victor Pulido, Jr. & wife Mary Lou of Ft. Worth, Johnny Pulido & wife Elodia of Kyle, Robert Pulido of Okinawa, Margie Hernandez & husband Mauricio of Plainview, Bill Pulido of Plainview, Jesse Pulido and Sandra Gonzales of Ft. Worth and Melynda Garza & husband Eric of Plainview, three brothers, Raymond Pulido & wife Jane of Hereford, Gilbert Pulido & wife Rachel of San Antonio and Tony Pulido of Detroit, one sister, Mary Singletary & husband Ronnie of Detroit, fourteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one on the way. He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Nora Pulido and two brothers. Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2805 N. Columbia, Plainview, Texas 79072.
