Dwight Lee Joy (Tulia)

Wimberley, Texas—Dwight Lee Joy, 63, died Friday, December 29, 2006. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Saturday, January 6, 2006 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Tulia, Texas, with Richard Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Tulia. Dwight was born June 27, 1943 in Brady, Texas to William Lewis Joy and Verna Estelle Burton Joy. He served in the US Army in Georgia, Oklahoma, Alaska and Vietnam. He is preceded in death by his parents, a 25 year old son Devin Lee Joy on 2-3-2006, an infant sister Janie Sue Joy on 6-18-1950, and step-father Raymond Carley on 5-25-2004. Dwight is survived by a son, Tristan Carl Joy and wife Brandy of Omaha, Nebraska, the mother of his children Barbara Joy Woods and his siblings, Sherry Ann Joy Davis of Palacios, Texas, Redgie Bill Joy of Mesquite, Texas, Dale Jackson Joy of Wimberley, Texas and James Brent Joy of Tulia, Texas. Memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association in memory of his son Devin or to the ALS Association in memory of Dwight or to the Hope Hospice in New Braunfels in memory of Dwight.
