Glynn Mansell (Tulia)

Plainview, Texas— Glynn Mansell, 59, of Plainview, died Tuesday, January 2, 2007 in Lubbock. Memorial services will be held at 2:30 pm Friday, January 5, 2007 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Tulia with Rev. Karel Smith, pastor of the First Christian Church in Tulia officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulia at a later date. Mr. Mansell was born March 20, 1947 in Lubbock. He grew up in Tulia and attended schools there. He married Charla Kay Doss in Oct. 1965. They lived in Dimmitt until moving to Plainview in 1980. Mr. Mansell served in Germany during Vietnam from 1966 to 1968. He returned to Plainview and worked for McGavock Motors for over 15 years. He was Manager of McGavock Motors #2. Survivors include Charla Kay Mansell of Plainview, two sons and their wives; Kevin and Karen Mansell of Plainview and Kyle and Jennifer Mansell of Tulia, four brothers and their wives; Charles “Cotton” and Sandy Mansell of Lubbock, Clarence and Barbara Mansell of Lubbock, David and Mary Mansell of Pottsboro, Texas and Terry and Monique Mansell of Lubbock, one sister and her husband, Minnie Faye and Gary Gerdes of Pottsboro, TX, nine grandchildren; Sondra Maldonado, Keisha Dawn Mansell, Kyle Lee Mansell, Kory Becker, Kaleb Glynn Mansell, A.J. Romero, David Romero, Aaron Romero and Zackary Romero, numerous nieces and nephews and his dog and best friend “Fonzi”. Memorials may be made to the Tulia Cemetery Assoc., P.O.
