Bessie Mae Ervin, 50, passed away on Friday, January 5, 2007 in Plainview, Texas. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 11, 2007 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Mrs. Ervin was born on June 9, 1956 in Floydada, Texas. She grew up in Tulia and graduated from Tulia High School. She worked for Northwest Texas Hospital for several years and then she worked for Outreach Health Services for many years. She was a member of the Central Church of Christ. She married R.C. Ervin on Sep. 24, 1979. Survivors include her husband, R.C. Ervin of Tulia; one son, Michael Barrow of Tulia; one step-daughter, Lisa Ann Baldwin of Kileen, Texas; seven brothers, Eddie, Sammie, Gerald, Adolphus, and James Barrow all of Tulia, Jerry Barrow of Corsicana, Texas, Fred Barrow of Long Beach, California; five sisters, Sandra Henderson of Amarillo, Connie Willis of Phoenix, Arizona, Sharon Meson of Amarillo, Joycelyn Watters and Anita Barrow both of Ft. Worth; and four grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Maebel Barrow; a daughter, Krishawn Ervin; a brother, Leroy Barrow; and two sisters, Frances Renee Collins and Ruby Barrow. A wake service will be held on Wednesday evening at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m.
