Wanda Lou Williams, 71, of Plainview passed away on Monday, January 15, 2007 at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 17, 2007 in the First Christian Church with Dr. Max Browning, Interim pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Parklawn Memorial Gardens under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Williams was born on September 30, 1935 in Carey, Texas. She attended schools there and graduated from Childress High School in 1952. She married Carroll Williams on October 17, 1952 in Childress. She worked for Merle Norman for several years. She was a member of the First Christian Church and a member of the Eastern Star. She was a homemaker. Survivors include her husband Carroll Williams of Plainview; two daughters, Marcy Wilson and her husband Gary of Plano, Texas, Christy Bennett and her husband Lanney of Plainview; two sons, Mike Williams and his wife Diane of Plainview, Monte Williams and his wife Amanda of LaVernia, Texas; two sisters, Mary Harrington of Topeka, Kansas, Nancy Testerman of Hollis, Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, Katy Townley, Michael Williams, Amy Lloyd, Nick Green, Thomas Williams, Macy Bennett, Mallory Bennett; and Great Grandchildren, Madilyn Green, Austin Price, and Baby Townley on the Way; numerous nieces and nephews, and Special Friend and Care Giver, Barbara Chance of Plainview. A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors. The family suggests memorials to Area Community Hospice of Plainview, American Lung Association, or favorite charity.
