Maria Luna Musquiz (Plainview)

Maria Luna Musquiz, 93, Our beloved mother and grandmother to all that loved her went to be with the lord at 9:20 a.m. Monday, January 15, 2007 in Plainview. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 18, 2007 at New Life Church with Rev. Steve Martinez and Rev. Calletano Saucedo officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Musquiz was born on February 3, 1913 in Hearn, Texas to Alvino and Juanita Luna. She was a life long resident of Plainview and was a member of New Life Church in Plainview. She is survived by four daughters: Romana & Ben Martinez of Allen, Rosa Leija of Plainview, Mary Lou Martinez of Hale Center and Bertha & Joe Longoria of Plainview; six sons: Baldemar & Lupe Musquiz of Cashion, AZ, Roberto & Elena Musquiz of Tulia, Armando “Monty” & Joyce Musquiz of Houston, Jessie & Janie Musquiz of Humble, Sergio & Yolanda Musquiz of Hale Center and Sonny & Jane Musquiz of Plainview; 52 Grandchildren, 111 Great Grandchildren and 40 Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sons. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel.
