Nita Senter (Plainview)

Nita Senter, 85, of Plainview, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at Santa Fe House. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 27, 2007 at 11th & Amarillo Church of Christ with Dee Teel and Scott Pinkerton officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Memorial Park by Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. Mrs. Senter was born on June 8, 1921 in Big Spring to Roscoe & Mae McKinnon Dunagan. She grew up in Elbow and graduated from Forsan High School in 1939. Nita married Richard Wendell Senter, July 19, 1943 in Big Spring. The Senter’s farmed in Big Spring and Stanton area before moving to Plainview in February of 1949 where they farmed in Quarterway. Mr. Senter passed away April 20, 1986. She had been a member of 11th & Amarillo Church of Christ since 1955. She is survived by two sons Lewis Senter and his wife Joyce of Plainview, Roger Senter and his wife Cindy of Canyon; one brother Raford Dunagan and wife Jeneva of Big Spring; sisters-in-law Geneva Dunagan of Amarillo, Daisy Senter of Mesquite; four grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
