Tulia, Texas— Ramiro “Bam Bam” Bernal, 46, died Sunday, January 28, 2007 in Tulia. Rosary services will be held at 7:00pm Wednesday, January 31, 2007 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel and funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, February 1, 2007 in the Church of the Holy Spirit with Father Tony Neusch pastor officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. He was born February 2, 1960 in Carrizo Springs, Texas. He graduated from Tulia High School in 1978 and attended Texas Tech for two years. He worked for Swisher County Cattle Company for 25 years and was on the Tulia Volunteer Fire Dept. for 20 years. He was a member of the Catholic Church. He loved playing softball and being with his family and friends. He was loved by all he knew. He was a big fan of all sports and especially loved the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. Survivors include his wife; Debbie Bernal of Tulia, a step-son; Corey Waldroop of Tulia, his mother; Eva Bernal of Tulia, one sister; Hilda and Ralph Hernandez of Tulia and three brothers; Albert Bernal of Tulia, Hector and Jesus Bernal of Aurora, Illinois and Richard and Linda Bernal of Amarillo, his grandmother; Conception Bernal of Asherton, Texas, 6 nieces, 2 nephews, 5 great nieces and 3 great nephews. Memorials may be made to the Tulia Volunteer Fire Dept.
