Kress, Texas—Frank Sertuche, 87, passed away Tuesday, February 06, 2007 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 8, 2007 in the Church of the Holy Spirit in Tulia with Rev. Tony Neusch officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Mr. Sertuche grew up in Taylor, Texas. Moved to Lubbock county where he farmed for several years. They moved to Hale County and he farmed for Howard Alford for 20 years. They also lived in Garden City, Kansas for a few years before moving to Tulia. He worked at Tulia Junior High for 10 years as a Janitor. He retired and Moved to Kress. He was a member St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Kress. He married Ysavel Luna in 1941. She preceded him in death on Feb. 28, 1979. Survivors include two daughters, Lilly Frausto of Kress, Erlinda Ortiz of Lubbock; one son, Frank Sertuche, Jr. of Lubbock; three brothers, Eufemio Sanchez and Ray Sanchez of Taylor, TX, Mariano Sanchez of Deer Park, TX; three sisters, Trini Rooks of Itasco, TX, Helen Olivarez and Nickomedes Sanchez both of Taylor, Texas; 18 Grandchildren, 56 Great Grandchildren, and 6 Great Great Grandchildren. Rosary services will be held 7:00 P.M. Wednesday evening, February 7, 2007 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Tulia.
