Sandra Lee English (Plainview)

Sandra Lee English, 67, of Plainview, passed away Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at Covenant Hospital of Plainview, Texas. Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 12, 2007, at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Ron Brunson of New Covenant Church and Rev. Richard Cronican of Milroy, Minnesota officiating. Interment will follow in Plainview Cemetery. Mrs. English was born on May 2, 1939 in Roann, Indiana to Earl Robert and Ellen May Yarian. She lived in Roann, Indiana until 1952 when she moved to Tucson, Arizona. Sandra graduated from Flowing Wells High School in Tucson in 1958. She moved to Plainview in 1977 and married Bill E. English on July 14, 1977. Mr. English passed away October 13, 2000. Sandra had been a life member of Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary, Auxiliary of the Gideons International, Member of Plainview New Covenant Church, and past president of IHS Nursing Home Family Council. Survivors include sisters Patricia Ash and husband Floyd of Citrus Heights, California and Dana Cronican and husband Richard of Milroy, Minnesota; nieces and nephews Kimberly Fenton and husband John, Kelly Muzzin and husband Joseph, Timothy Cronican and wife Andrea and great nephew and niece Nicholas Muzzin and Abigail Muzzin. Sandra is preceded in death by her parents and by her two brothers Jan Yarian and Larry Yarian. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gideons International, P. O. Box 771, Plainview, TX 79072. Visitation for family and friends will be Sunday 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.
