Tulia, Texas— Mildred Lee Byram, 78, died Monday, February 19, 2007, in Amarillo. Funeral services will be held at 4:00pm Saturday, February 24, 2007 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. James Hassell, pastor of First Baptist Church in Tulia. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Mrs. Byram was born November 4, 1928 in Kress. She attended schools in Kress and Tulia. She married Ray Byram on July 21, 1945 in Tulia, she was a housewife and she loved her sewing and crocheting. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Tulia. Survivors include her husband; Ray Byram of Tulia, two sons; Les Byram and wife Freida of Amarillo and Gene Byram and wife Sandra of Amarillo, one daughter; Marcie Purviance and husband Tim of Amarillo, one brother; Floyd Berry of Denver, Colorado, one sister; Moree “Monk” Payne of Fritch, TX, 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
