Adelmira "Willie" Ramirez (Tulia)

Silverton, Texas-Adelmira “Willie”Ramirez, 69, passed away on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 in Tulia, Texas. Funeral Mass will be held at 1:00 PM, Monday, November 26, 2018 in the Catholic Church of Our Lady of Loreto at Silverton, Texas with Father Arturo Meza officiating. Burial will follow at Silverton Cemetery, Silverton, Texas. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

A rosary will be held at 5:00 PM Sunday, November 25, 2018 in the Catholic Church of Our Lady of Loreto in Silverton, Texas.

Adelmira was born on February 10, 1949 in Flomot, Texas to Jesus and Ninfa (Rodgers) Valdez. She attended school in Quitaque and later married Frank Ramirez Sr. on February 18, 1967 in Briscoe County. Adelmira was known for her cooking throughout the community, when her kids were growing up their friends would come over after school and stay for supper. She was a member of Our Lady of Loreto church since she married Frank and did many fundraisers and taught CCD classes.

She is preceded in death by her parents; Jesus and Ninfa Valdez, her husband: Frank Ramirez Sr., two brothers: Vicente Valdez and Arnolfo Valdez, two sisters: Clara Ramirez and Delia Cabello.

She is survived by her children; Joe Ramirez of Canyon, TX, Stephanie Chapa and husband Thomas of Slaton, TX, Sylvia Perkins and Lynn Frizzell of Silverton, TX, Frank Ramirez Jr. and wife Renee of San Diego, CA and Sonya Smith and husband Jeff of Silverton, TX, two brothers; Albert Valdez of Childress, TX and Charlie Valdez of Owatonna, MN, one sister; Mary Lena Adame of Plainview, TX, sixteen grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.
