Alice L. Richardson (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Alice L. Richardson, 94, passed away on Thursday, July 26, 2018 in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, July 31, 2018 in the Central Church of Christ. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 pm Tuesday in the Dreamland Cemetery in Turkey, Texas. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A visitation will be held on Monday, July 30, 2018 from 5:00 to 6:30 pm at the funeral home. Alice was born on March 27, 1924 in Gasoline, Texas to Paul and Lillian Geissler. She grew up in Turkey and graduated from Turkey High School. She married Bud Richardson on November 9, 1946 in Lubbock. They lived in several places with Bud’s job at GTE but settled in Tulia in 1977. She was a homemaker. She was very active in Senior Citizens, RSVP and the Red Hat Society. She was a member of the Church of Christ. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a brother, W.F. Geisler. Her family includes her two daughters: Paula Jo Michaud and husband Sonny of Lenoir City, Tennessee and Karla Needham and husband Greg of Tulia, four grandchildren: Shane Speed, Kiska Butler, Kimberly Dannenberg and Kassie Bice and five great grandchildren: Bryce Dannenberg, Reece Dannenberg, Skyler Monroe, Ty Bice and Kaleb Bice.
