She married Benny Arredondo Luna, Sr. on October 9, 1954 in Tulia, Texas. She was a member of the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit and served as a guadalupana. Angelita was our rock, a very strong and beautiful mother filled with life, feistiness and sass! She raised her twelve children on tough love and she expected all of her grandchildren & greats to be raised the same ~ with tough love. Respect and honor for your elders was of the utmost importance to her. She will be dearly missed. Angelita liked to work on word search books, puzzles, enjoyed playing Skip-Bo, Bingo and Spanish lotería. She was entertained by watching Spanish soap operas, all kinds of Disney cartoons, Sixteen Candles, Pretty in Pink, Twilight, and many other iconic movies. Angelita took great pleasure in sewing ~ especially when she sewed Rudy’s “Hammer pants” & outfits! If you knew Angelita, you also know she really loved her coffee and cigarettes. She was fond of several artists, such as Cornelio Reyna, Vicente Fernandez, Hillsong, Chris Tomlin, etc. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother, Henry Cruz, Sr., three sisters, Anita Basaldua, Amelia Garcia, Cecilia “Celia” Barrera and two sons, Benny Luna, Jr. and Rodolfo “Rudy” Luna.
