Tulia, Texas—Ann Langston, 84, passed away on Saturday, January 11, 2020 in Tulia. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, January 15, 2020 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Pastor David Dodge officiating. Burial will follow at Wayside Cemetery, Wayside, Texas. Funeral services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 6:00 P.M to 7:30 P.M at Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Ann was born on August 11, 1935 in Ore City, Texas to J.T. and Ethel Mae (Lyle) Price. She attended schools in Quitaque and as a young girl she worked in the fields picking cotton. She married Charles Troy Langston on April 5, 1952. Ann worked for the Tulia ISD cafeteria for 39 years as a cook and worked the snack bar during lunch and home games. She was known for her juicy burgers and homemade ice cream. She was a member of the Faith Tabernacle Church UPC and played the piano. Ann loved to watch Nascar races especially her favorite driver, Jimmie Johnson. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers: Gary Price and Ronnie Price. She is survived by one son; Jimmy “Jimbo” Langston of Tulia, two brothers; Donald Price and wife Sue of Dumas, Thomas Price of Springfield, Missouri, one sister; Lillian Varnell of Mesquite, Texas, three sisters-in-law; Jerry Langston, Dorothy Richardson and Sue Langston, all of Plainview, two granddaughters; Monica Skierski of Comanche, Texas and Jessica Vanwhy and husband Adam of Euless, Texas, five great grandchildren; Nicholas Langston, Karyzma Mason, Clare Jean Vanwhy, Jaden Mason and Charles Vanwhy.
