Tulia, Texas—Arnold Dunavan, 67, passed away on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 in Colorado. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 10:00 AM in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Tulia. Cremation arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Arnold was born on January 12, 1951 in Sulpher, Oklahoma. His parents were Effie Mae and Jack Nelson Dunavan. He was raised in Shawnee, Oklahoma and attended schools there. He worked for the Rhode Island Railroad until it closed then he moved to Amarillo and worked for BNSF Railroad for 30 years and retired in 2005. He married Donna Mathews on August 15, 2005. He is survived by his wife: Donna Dunavan of Tulia, two children: Crystal Dunavan-Dothard and husband Daryll Dothard of Los Angeles, CA and Clinton Ray Dunavan of Amarillo, one step-son: Larry Collins and wife Carolina of Tulia, three grandchildren: Braxton Gage Dothard and Kyla Cheyenne Dothard, both of Los Angeles, CA, and Clea Grace Dunavan of Amarillo and four step-grandchildren: Andy Collins, Amy Collins, Mercedes and Ana, all of Tulia.
