Baldomero "Pa" Soliz (Plainview)

Baldomero “Pa” Soliz, 71, of Plainview passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, February 14, 2025 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Plainview Texas with Father Angelo Consemino officiating. Interment will follow at Plainview Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview, Texas. 

A rosary will be held at 6:00 P.M. Thursday, February 13, 2025 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Plainview, Texas.

Baldomero was born on December 14, 1953 in Plainview, Texas to Paul and Consuelo Soliz. Baldomero worked at Cargill for over 37 years before retiring to enjoy his life, he was an avid pool player and golfer and enjoyed watching sports and going fishing. He was known for dressing up and made sure to put his Stacy Adams on. He had a big heart and loved helping those around him. He helped open Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Plainview and was even part of the celebration march from the Barrio to the new location. He was one of the first bands to play in the Catholic Church playing his accordion. But above all, he loved his family, he cherished his children and grandchildren, and he did his best to take care of everyone.

Baldomero is survived by his three sons; Ben Soliz (Angie), Santana Soliz (Amy), Pancho Soliz (Jessica) all of Plainview, Texas; six daughters, Brenda Martinez (Adrian) of Plainview, Christina Martinez (Jeff) of Hale Center, Teresa Martinez (Joe) of El Paso, Veronica Soliz, Monica Soliz and Dolores Soliz all of Plainview; his children’s mother, Bertha Soliz; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; four brothers, Tony Soliz of Amarillo, Reynaldo Soliz (Roswitha) of Lawton, Oklahoma, Richard Soliz (Monica) of Yukon, Oklahoma and Jesse Soliz of Plainview, Texas; one sister, Sylvia Crowder (Martin) of Grand Prairie, Texas.
