Barbara Lamb (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Barbara Lamb, 78, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2019. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, October 26, 2019 in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Rusty Gray, pastor of Tulia Christian Fellowship Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

Barbara was born on February 12, 1941 in Lubbock, Texas to Jake and Addie Turner. She graduated from Abernathy High School. She married Tommy Lamb on January 14, 1965. She worked as a telephone operator in Littlefield and was also a housewife. She also worked for the Southwest Textile, Inc. (a yarn spinning company) in Abernathy. She was a caregiver at the Tulia Health and Rehabilitation Center where she spent the last three years of her life. She loved to fish and loved to go to the casinos and play bingo every Monday and Friday.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Tommy Lamb, her sister: Linda Rapp and her brother: Kenneth Turner.

She is survived by her two daughters: Leigh Byrd and husband Deon of Tulia and Cynthia Brewer and husband John of Sherman, one son: Butch Lamb of Lubbock and special friend Emmie Rutledge, one sister: Frances Goolsby and husband Jessie of Abernathy, a sister-in-law: Nedra Turner of Mineral Wells, a brother-in-law: Delane Rapp of Abernathy and 12 grandchildren.
