Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church in Hart. Interment will follow in Hart Cemetery. A Rosary service will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors in Plainview. Beatriz was born on August 21, 1954 to Jose Perez & Hermelinda Bedolla Guzman. She married Guadalupe Martinez on August 7, 1978 in Albert Lea, Minnesota. Mrs. Martinez is survived by her husband, Guadalupe Martinez; two son, Chris Guzman Martinez and wife Amanda Martinez of Flower Mound, Texas and Jose Angel “Joey” Martinez of Plainview, Texas; two brothers, Mario Guzman and wife Beatrice of Hart, Texas and Arthur Guzman & wife Andrea of Hart, Texas; three sisters, Imelda Menchaca of Plainview, Texas, Hilda Ballew & Robert Rojas of Plainview, Texas and Eloisa Guzman of Plainview, Texas and five grandchildren, Ja’Lynn Velasquez, Jordyn Martinez, Evan Martinez, Melinda Martinez and Liam Martinez.
