Bernice Love (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Tulia, Texas--Bernice Love, 88, passed away on Thursday, August 31, 2023. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 7, 2023, in Rose Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Bernice was born on June 30, 1935, to Martin and Bessie Teakell in Clay County, Texas near Henrietta. She lived in Tulia most of her life. She farmed with her brother-in-law and helped with Home Health Care for ladies in Tulia. She married Jim Ned Love on February 14, 1953, and was married for 61 years before Jim Ned died on June 18, 2014. The family would like to extend a huge "Thank You with Love" to Shana and Johnny Daniels for taking care of Bernice and loving her as family these past few years. Bernice is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, an infant son: Martin Lee Love, three brothers and one sister. She is survived by her son: Jimmy Love and wife Leslie of Kenai, Alaska, her daughter: Mary Ann Davis of Denton, six grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren, and numerous great, great grandchildren.
