Betty June Allen (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Betty June Strickland Allen, 63, died on May 8, 2020. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 16, 2020 at City Church with Rev. Matthew Veals, officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 6:30 pm Friday, May 15, 2020 at the funeral home.

Betty was born on December 24, 1956 in Tulia to Willie Lee and Velma June Strickland. She was born and raised in Tulia. She attended Tulia Schools. She married Walter Allen. She was a home health care giver for many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

She is survived by her children: Ramona Strickland of Oklahoma City, Sophia Strickland of Tulia, Frederick Strickland of Tulia, Ronita Strickland of Arkansas, Shelia Strickland of Tulia and Laquisha Allen of Amarillo, her siblings: Anthony Davis, Cliff Davis, Vicky Strickland, Janice Strickland, Tricia Davis, Sharon Davis, Linda Kay Lestig and Linda Fay Releford, eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
