Blas Garcia (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas-Blas Garcia, 80, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2018 in Amarillo. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Life in the Word Church with Pastor Edward Barrientez officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Blas Garcia was born on November 29, 1938 in San Patricio County, Texas to Bonifacio and SanJuana (Moreno) Garcia.  Blas was a migrant worker and also traveled around Texas as a truck driver. He had side jobs of trimming trees and doing yard work. He was known by his family as a hard worker, very self dependent and was loved by his family members. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother: Jose Garcia, one sister: Benita Garcia Dominguez. He is survived by his two daughters: Alicia Salinas and husband Daniel and Cristina Salinas and husband Eddie, two sisters: Juanita Garcia Dominguez and Maria de Jesus Garcia Soliz, nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
