Bobby Carol Slack (Plainview)

Bobby Carol Slack, 92, of Plainview passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, November 4, 2022 in the Kornerstone Chapel.  Graveside services will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the Red Mud Cemetery in Spur, Texas under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.

Bobby will be available for viewing on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors. Visitors are welcome to come and go as they please until 8:00 P.M.

Bobby was born on March 10, 1930 in Spur, Texas to Henry and Ivey Slack.  He grew up in Crosby County and attended school in Kalgary and in Crosbyton.  Bobby married Joyce Johnson on December 25, 1952 in Dickens, Texas. Bobby served in the Air Force during the Korean War and later served in the reserves for several years. He worked for Southwestern Bell and AT&T for 40 years as a PBX repairman. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and enjoyed playing 42.

Bobby was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Johnson Slack; and his parents, Henry and Ivey Slack.

Bobby is survived by his two sons, Mike Slack and wife Shelly of Plainview, Texas, Mark Slack and wife Melissa of Plainview, Texas; 3 grandchildren, Brent Slack of Lubbock, Texas, Darin Slack of Plainview, Texas, and Kyla Slack of Plainview, Texas.
