Bobby "Cobb" Adams (Tulia)

Tulia, Texas—Bobby “Cobb” Adams, 80, passed away on Tuesday, December 24, 2019 in Amarillo. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 1:00 pm in the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel with Rev. Rusty Gray, officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.

Mr. Adams was born on June 3, 1939 in Willow, Oklahoma. He grew up and attended schools in Dimmitt. He served in the US Navy from 1959 to 1962. He married Anita Turner in 1961. After his discharge he returned to Dimmitt and worked for the Dept. of Agriculture at the ASCS office in Dimmitt until he was transferred to Aspermont in 1979. In 1982 he was transferred again to Tulia where he continued to work for the ASCS office until his retirement in 1992. He married Sherry Pool in 1989. After his retirement he farmed south of Tulia.

He is preceded in death by his first wife: Anita Adams and his second wife: Sherry Adams in 2011 and two brothers: David Adams and Eddie Adams.

He is survived by his children: Raneta Patton of Dimmitt, Sha Ebeling of Dimmitt, Steven Adams of Brighton, Colorado, Amanda Nolen of Tulia and Alanda Todd of Tulia, two brothers: Jimmy Adams of Seguin and Johnny Adams of Austin, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
