Tulia, Texas - Brandon Michael Guerra, 21, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 7, 2021. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 11:00 AM at the Catholic Church of the Holy Spirit with Father Tony Neusch officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia.
A rosary will be held on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel.
Brandon was born on December 11, 1999 in Amarillo, Texas to Mike and Jessica (Villegas) Guerra. He graduated from Tulia High School in 2018 where he was named to the 2018 Amarillo Globe News Baseball Superteam. He was offensive MVP for 1-3A with a 0.444 batting average, 23 RBI’s and led his team in hitting, striking out only once during the season. He attended Wayland Baptist University where he played baseball for a season. Brandon was currently living in Lubbock and was employed by UPS. He loved to golf, play corn hole, fish, and hunt. But Brandon loved spending time with his family and friends most of all. He will be most remembered by his smile, curly hair and crazy personality. There was no doubt that Brandon lived life to the absolute fullest. He was kind, considerate and had a way of making everyone he knew feel special.
Brandon is survived by his parents Mike & Jessica Guerra of Tulia, two siblings, a sister, Ivy Jesselle Guerra of Lubbock, and brother, Bryan Rey Guerra of Tulia. Grandparents: Richard & Yolanda Villegas of Tulia, Simona Garcia of Hereford, Miguel Guerra Sr. & Leticia Castro of San Antonio. Uncles and Aunts: Bob & Jamie Villegas and family of Tulia, Christina Cruz and family of Tulia, Reggie & Geniva Martinez of Lubbock, Raymond Martinez of Hereford, Eric & Joy Guerra of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Adolf & Maricella Martinez of San Antonio, Texas. Brandon is also leaving behind extended family to include lots of wonderful cousins and friends who will never forget him. Miss Bailey Cabello & his sweet dog; Sophia (Kebbies) of Plainview, Paul, Susan and Hayden Cebello of Plainview. Kennon, Kim, Sky and Weston Ceballo of Plainview.
He is preceded in death by his aunt, Michelle Villegas and his sweet niece Ellie Faye Cabello.
