Bret Wayne Adkins, 32, of Midland passed away on April 4, 2024. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, April 8, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Tulia, Texas with Rusty Gray officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. Sunday, April 7, 2024 at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel in Tulia.
Bret was born on November 21, 1991, in Tulia, TX where he attended Tulia High School and graduated in 2010. Bret loved the simple pleasures of life which included fishing, motorcycles, hitting the greens for a round of golf, and trying his luck at poker. His infectious smile and warm presence always lit up any room, making friends effortlessly wherever he went. He cherished his time with his nieces and nephew, bringing joy into their lives. His best friend Olive was his companion and comfort. Bret was so loved and will be missed by many friends, family, and of course his dog Olive.
Bret is survived by his significant other; Bri Burdett and her daughter Emersyn, his father; Charlie Adkins and wife Cecelia, mother; Cynthia Harris and husband Kevin, siblings; Kasie Riddle and husband Kade, Ansley Dougherty and husband Jarrett, and Kade Adkins, nieces and nephew; Brylee Riddle, Berklee Riddle, Brodee Riddle, and Cooper Dougherty, grandparents; Shirley McCaslin, Richelle Culifer, Marion Harris, Thomas and Annette Albracht, Terry Coslow, and his best friend Olive.
Bret is preceded in death by his grandparents; Danny McCaslin, Jerry Culifer, Danny Coslow, and Raymond Harris.
