Carl Arthur Sjogren (Plainview)

Carl Arthur Sjogren, 69, of Kress, Texas passed away November 1, 2018. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 5, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Rev. Michael Heckman, Pastor of St. Paul Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Kress Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview.  A visitation will be held 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Kornerstone.  Mr. Sjogren was born June 11, 1949 in Plainview, Texas to Carl Stanford and Katherine Anna (Nafzger) Sjogren. He graduated from Kress High School in 1967 and spent most of his life working with cattle. He loved his Lord and hunting. He was active in the Walk to Emmaus and loved visiting in the nursing homes and rehabilitation centers. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and a member NRA. He is preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by one brother, Kenneth Sjogren and wife Charlotte of Plainview; one sister, Kathy Snyder and husband Barry of Cody, Wyoming; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Riddle, Seth Sjogren, Tiffany Heape, Phillip Lathrop, Tyler Lathrop; nine great nieces and nephews.
