Carla Veronica Almanza (Plainview)

Carla Veronica Almanza, 28, and her baby, Lia Almanza Balderas passed away December 1, 2017 in Plainview, Texas. Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Muleshoe, Texas with Father Rene Perez officiating. Interment will follow at Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Plainview. A rosary will be held on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at 6:30 P.M. at Kornerstone Funeral Directors Chapel. Carla was born January 30, 1989 in Clovis, NM. She attended Plainview schools and graduated in 2007. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in fashion design at the Art Institute of Dallas. She is survived by her father, Aldo Almanza of Lubbock; her mother, Florinda Champion; her fiancé, Robby Balderas; two sisters, Patricia Almanza-Roberts and Laura Almanza, all of Plainview and her grandparents, Jose and Carlota Almanza of Muleshoe.
