Carlos Magallanes, Jr., 47, of Plainview passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024. Funeral services will be held on 11:00 AM Thursday, December 5, 2024 in the Faith Tabernacle Church with Pastor Noe Gonzales officiating. Services are under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery under the care of Kornerstone Funeral Directors of Tulia. 

A visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, Wednesday, December 4, 2024 in the Kornerstone Chapel.

Carlos Magallanes, Jr. was born in Tulia on September 17, 1977. He was a beloved husband to Crystal Magallanes and a cherished father to his sons, Zeke, Aiden and Amadeus who brought him immense joy. Carlos attended schools in Tulia. He joined the United States Marine Corp right after high school. It brought him great joy to have been able to serve his country. In his time in the service, Carlos had the pleasure to travel to many places, Japan, Australia and Hawaii. Carlos was a die-hard Cowboys fan; he would never miss a chance to watch the Cowboys win or lose.

He worked for Roll-A-Cone for fifteen plus years. He also enjoyed doing upholstery jobs for his community that was brought to him. He was a stern but loveable man who could make people laugh and was always willing to help everyone, especially his family. Carlos’s love for his dogs was like no other. His pride and joy, Sophie along with Bailey, Sasha and Trixie. 

Carlos is preceded in death by his father, Carlos Magallanes, Sr., his mother-in-law, Maria Cuellar and his grandfather, Jesus Magallanes.

He is survived by his wife, Crystal Magallanes; his sons, Zeke, Aiden and Amadeus; his mother, Linda Magallanes; his sister, Valerie Hernandez and husband Austin; his brother, Hector Magallanes and wife Kristen; his sister-in-law, Monica Arrizola and husband Gabriel and Veronica Pedroza and his brother-in-law, Rudy Pedroza and many nieces and nephews. 

He will be deeply missed by all who know him.
